FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Seiko mods

What is a Seiko mod?
A watch built on a genuine Seiko automatic movement (NH35/NH36), fitted with premium components: sapphire crystal, 316L steel, and a dial and bezel inspired by iconic designs. A true mechanical watch, not a copy.
Is a Seiko mod legal?
Yes. Our watches are homages: they draw inspiration from iconic designs without carrying the logo or name of a protected brand. Counterfeiting (fake logos) is illegal; the homage watch is legal and openly so.
How much does a quality Seiko mod cost?
Between 249 and 399 CHF at Modora, with a genuine Seiko automatic movement, sapphire crystal, 316L steel, 2-year warranty and free shipping.

★★★★★

"I wasn't expecting this level of finishing at this price. The dial work is sharper than my luxury watch. Fourth Modora and counting."
